An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Clinical Operations & Quality Manager to join a leading independent healthcare provider in London.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing Outpatient Nursing and Imaging services, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care while driving operational performance, quality improvement and service development. Working closely with senior leadership, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping service strategy, leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering continuous improvements across two key clinical departments. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced clinical leader who enjoys balancing patient-centred care with operational excellence and commercial awareness.

The Role

As Clinical Operations & Quality Manager, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across outpatient and imaging services, ensuring high standards of clinical governance, workforce engagement and service delivery. You'll work collaboratively with clinical and operational teams to improve efficiency, enhance patient experience and identify opportunities for growth while maintaining the highest standards of quality and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Leadership & Governance

  • Provide strategic leadership across Outpatient Nursing and Imaging services.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, effective and patient-centred care.
  • Ensure compliance with CQC standards and clinical governance requirements.
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives, audits and best practice across both departments.

Operational Management

  • Oversee the day-to-day operational performance of outpatient and imaging services.
  • Improve patient flow, service efficiency and resource utilisation.
  • Monitor operational performance through key metrics including activity, waiting times and productivity.
  • Identify and implement service improvements that enhance both patient outcomes and operational performance.

Financial & Commercial Performance

  • Support budget management and effective resource planning.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Work with senior stakeholders to develop new services and support business growth.
  • Use performance data to drive informed decision-making and continuous improvement.

Patient Experience

  • Champion initiatives that enhance patient satisfaction and service quality.
  • Ensure patient feedback informs service development and operational improvements.
  • Foster a culture where outstanding patient care is at the centre of every decision.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach and develop multidisciplinary clinical teams.
  • Build an engaged, collaborative and high-performing working culture.
  • Support succession planning, workforce development and staff retention.
  • Act as a visible, approachable and inspiring leader across the organisation.

About You

We're looking for a dynamic clinical leader with a passion for improving healthcare services and delivering exceptional patient experiences.

You'll have:

  • Registration as a Nurse or Allied Health Professional.
  • Significant leadership experience within outpatient, imaging or acute hospital services.
  • Proven experience managing multidisciplinary clinical teams.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical governance, quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience managing operational performance, service improvement and financial performance.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills.
  • The ability to analyse performance data and implement meaningful change.

Desirable experience includes:

  • A postgraduate qualification in Healthcare Management or Leadership.
  • Experience supporting commercial growth or business development initiatives.
  • Experience leading organisational change or integrating clinical services.
