Clinical Quality Officer (Fertility)
Salary: £45,000–£50,000
Location: London (multi-site, hybrid potential)
We are seeking an experienced Fertility Nurse or Midwife to join our growing quality team in a new and unique, nursing-focused Quality Officer role. This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician looking to transition from direct patient care into a high-impact quality and governance position.
The Role
Working closely with the Quality Manager and Nursing & Quality Director, you will play a key role in strengthening quality oversight across their clinics. With a strong reporting culture and expanding services, this role is central to ensuring robust governance, investigation management and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee incident logs and issue management
- Lead investigations and root cause analyses
- Conduct trend and data analysis
- Undertake audits alongside consultants and nurses
- Work within the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Present findings clearly to clinical teams
- Embed and enhance quality oversight with consultants
This is a hands-on, investigative role involving report writing, meetings, data review and daily collaboration with clinical and quality colleagues. This is an operational quality role requiring confidence and strong communication skills.
About You
- Registered Nurse or Midwife with substantial fertility experience
- Demonstrable involvement in quality improvement initiatives
- Strong communicator, confident and assertive
- Comfortable leading discussions and presenting to consultants
- Able to build effective working relationships across multidisciplinary teams
- Realistic about the transition from clinical to investigative/narrative work
Formal quality management experience is not essential — however, a clear passion for quality and evidence of driving improvement is required.
Working Pattern
- Primarily based at the London site
- 1 day per week at the Harley street site
- Potential additional London based site in future
- Hybrid / Remote working may be available in near future (not fully remote role)
