About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Scrub Nurse to join a well-established private clinic based on Harley Street. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a high-quality clinical environment supporting leading consultants across a range of surgical specialities.

The clinic delivers a broad range of procedures including oculoplastic surgery, plastic surgery, dermatology and other minor surgical procedures. You will play a key role in supporting safe and efficient theatre operations while delivering the highest standards of patient care.

This is an extremely rewarding role for individuals who have experienced a day-case setting, who enjoy learning and who can work flexibly and productively with others, playing a significant role in every patient’s life changing story.

This is a full-time permanent post but we would be open to hearing from candidates seeking to negotiate a part-time hours opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

• Scrubbing for a variety of surgical procedures including oculoplastics, plastics, dermatology and other procedures
• Preparing theatre and surgical instruments prior to procedures
• Assisting surgeons during operations while maintaining strict aseptic techniques
• Ensuring all theatre equipment and instruments are checked and functioning correctly
• Supporting the wider theatre team to maintain efficient theatre lists
• Maintaining accurate patient and theatre records
• Ensuring compliance with clinical governance, infection control, and CQC standards

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration
• Previous scrub experience is essential
• Experience supporting a variety of surgical specialities is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of theatre protocols and infection control standards
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced private clinical environment
