Are you an experienced Scrub Nurse looking for your next opportunity within a prestigious private surgical hospital?

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Scrub Nurse to join a leading private surgical hospital based in the heart of Harley Street, London.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a highly skilled theatre team, working alongside experienced Surgeons, Anaesthetists, Theatre Practitioners and other healthcare professionals to deliver outstanding patient care across a range of surgical specialities.

The Role

As a Scrub Nurse, you will play a vital role in supporting the safe and effective delivery of surgical procedures.

You will be responsible for preparing and maintaining the operating theatre, ensuring all necessary equipment and instrumentation is available and working closely with the wider theatre team throughout procedures.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing operating theatres for scheduled procedures
• Scrubbing for a range of surgical procedures and supporting Surgeons throughout
• Ensuring the correct instruments, equipment and consumables are available
• Maintaining a safe, sterile and efficient theatre environment
• Working in accordance with infection prevention and control procedures
• Undertaking and documenting surgical safety checks
• Supporting effective communication between members of the multidisciplinary team
• Assisting with patient positioning and ensuring patient safety throughout procedures
• Maintaining accurate clinical and theatre documentation
• Supporting stock control and the management of theatre equipment
• Ensuring high standards of patient safety, clinical governance and care are maintained at all times

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse
• Previous experience working as a Scrub Nurse or Theatre Practitioner
• Experience working within an acute surgical or theatre environment
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, instrumentation and theatre practice
• A good understanding of infection prevention and control
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A proactive and organised approach to your work
• The ability to remain calm and effective in a busy surgical environment
• A strong commitment to patient safety and delivering exceptional patient care

Experience within the private healthcare sector would be advantageous; however, experienced Scrub Nurses from NHS or other acute hospital settings are also encouraged to apply.
