We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Theatre Manager to lead our state-of-the-art surgical services at a prestigious private hospital located near Maidenhead. About the Role
As Theatre Manager, you will take full responsibility for the operational management, leadership, and development of the theatre department. You will ensure the highest standards of clinical practice, patient safety, and service delivery while fostering a culture of professionalism, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and develop a high-performing theatre team, including scrub, anaesthetic, and recovery staff
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the theatre suite, ensuring efficiency and optimal utilisation
- Maintain the highest standards of clinical governance, patient safety, and regulatory compliance
- Manage budgets, resources, and staffing levels effectively
- Collaborate closely with consultants, senior management, and multidisciplinary teams
- Drive service development and contribute to strategic planning initiatives
About You
- Registered Nurse (RGN) or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) with valid professional registration
- Proven experience in a senior theatre leadership role
- Strong knowledge of clinical governance, CQC standards, and best practice guidelines
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Commercial awareness with the ability to manage budgets and performance targets
- Passion for delivering exceptional patient care in a premium healthcare setting
- Ability to drive / have a car is preferable due to location
